Hey! It's been too long since I last wrote. Significant events in music recently? DUH! The Grammys!!
It was basically "The Adele Show," as she collected six awards in a single night. I really wish they'd limit it to two or three, especially with the awards which are aired on TV, so that it wouldn't be quite as repetitive. Maybe they could just change the show and air a diverse range of awards?
Electronic music got essentially no rep. David Guetta and Deadmau5 put on a pretty sick performance, but they didn't even get to play inside the Staples Center itself. Skrillex and Deadmau5 were both nominated for Best Dance Record and Best Dance Album. Skrillex took both awards with "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites," which is awesome, I just wish my buddy Deadmau5 could've won something. It didn't seem to get him down, though. He trolled Skrillex by wearing a shirt with his phone number on it.

Recent Scientific Discoveries
I know this is a tangent from my music stuff, but the rest of the world deserves mentioning too xP. Chronologically, four huge scientific developments have occurred in the past few months.
1. Astrologists found a MASSIVE vortex of water vapor in space, estimated to be 140 trillion times larger in volume than all the water in earth's oceans. Pretty cool, right? Unfortunately, It's billions of light years away, so we won't be able to access it any time soon. Full report here.
2. Scientists from CERN (Europe's organization for nuclear research) fired a beam of neutrinos, which are subatomic particles, 450 miles underground in Italy. They measured the time the neutrinos took to get from point A to point B, and they were faster than light. These neutrinos are the only things EVER measured to be faster than the speed of light. They have now repeated their experiment and confirmed it. Here's an article.
3. Russians in Antarctica have reached the surface of the largest and oldest known reserve of water on the planet Earth. It's a massive underground lake (now named Lake Vostok) which is akin to Lake Ontario in size. The water is estimated to be far cleaner than distilled water, and it's 20,000,000 years old. It's literally a time capsule. They're still figuring out exactly how to study it without contaminating the water. More info here.
4. I actually came up with this idea before NASA had developed it, but I guess I wasn't quick enough on the draw. They've developed a biocapsule full of carbon nanotubes which will essentially automatically medicate whoever uses it. The biocapsule is implanted under the skin where it will not deteriorate or cause any harm, and it will release medication either in time intervals or on a need basis. Sounds pretty sweet, as it'll keep astronauts healthy in space where they won't have access to a doctor, and it has many implications here on earth, as we could implant them at birth to fight childhood illness. Even more is possible, so it's pretty exciting. Full article.

Feed Me
Alright so I'm really on a Feed Me fix. This guy is a genius. Let's go through a little background (courtesy of wikipedia)
The man behind the music is Jon Gooch (hilarious name), He's from England, and his two stage names are Spor and Feed Me. Supposedly, Feed Me is just a side project.. I'll check out his Spor stuff and review it soon, but, for now, let's focus on Feed Me. Somehow, he signed onto Mau5trap records (Deadmau5's record label, nbd.) as an original member, where he's produced a total of four EP records in the last three or four years. He's not well known yet, but I'll bet that he will be the next big star in electronica.
Feed Me focuses on electro-house song construction with plenty of dubstep influence, especially in the newest EP, Feed Me's Escape From Electric Mountain. Hadouken is the title song, but Embers, if any, will make it into the popular spotlight (female vocals on top of electronic music always attracts a crowd).
Jon Gooch (Feed Me) left, Joel Zimmerman (Deadmau5) right

Hey.
I'm not really sure why I made this, but I guess the point of it is self expression - right?! I'll tell whoever cares to read a bit about my life, and I'll likely make plenty of seemingly philosophical remarks regarding the world and events current, past, and future..
Also, I'll be posting about music. A lot.
So let's start it off.
Right now, I'm listening to Feed Me's new EP, "Feed Me's Escape from Electric Mountain." The title of the album doesn't really mean much. They're still just as deliciously electronic as ever, and this is definitely up to par with their earlier stuff. Maybe we'll hear them on the radio?? They are my prediction for the up and coming artist of the year. Being signed on to Mau5trap Records (Deadmau5's own record company - includes Skrillex and others) will surely help.
TL;DR: Feed Me is a great up and coming electronic artist.. Listen to them. Here's a link to their new stuff.

No copyright infringement intended - someone tell me if that's necessary? I don't want to get this thing banned off the bat.
I'll try to post here every day, but I might forget.. More realistically, I'll try to post here weekly. I'll update the "about me" section and such asap. Thanks for reading!
